About The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Program Manager or delegate, the Clerk is responsible for the scheduling, and registering of patient appointments for Orthotic/Prosthetic/Pedorthic/Driving/Seating services. They are also responsible for inputting and updating all data related to patient information and department statistics; answering phones and directing patient inquiries, receiving payments from patients, providing appropriate receipts, balancing daily cash flow; entering payroll data; assisting with timesheets; typing; faxing; filing and photocopying.
The Clerk may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio in a 7-day service.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Grade XII plus one year related experience OR graduate of a recognized one year secretarial/business program
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast faced environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
• Medical Terminology Course an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Experience working with individuals with physical or cognitive impairments preferred
• Excellent customer service is required
• Understanding of and commitment to the protection of patients’ personal health information and associated hospital policies and procedures

Hours

• Permanent, Full-time position; 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
