Civil Supervisor Jobs

Telecon is looking for an energetic and career minded individual to take on the role of Field Supervisor. This role starts immediately based out of yard in Carp, Ontario.

As the Field Supervisor you will be responsible for collaborating with clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additionally you will be responsible for coordinating between operational teams to get projects built within required timelines while ensuring all field change orders are captured and the additional revenue is realized.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
• Plan and distribute work to field crews
• Communicate and work with clients (internal and external), Managers, Municipalities to ensure that any obstacles are removed and projects are completed to client specifications and within timeline(s)
• Other duties as needed.
• Ensure accurate and detailed billing is completed in a timely manner
• Ensure projects are following budget
• Oversee change orders in the field
• Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members on various aspects in the field
• Travel between job sites to follow-up and ensure that project timelines are maintained according to client expectations

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite
• Outstanding interpersonal, influencing skills to build strong relationships, and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients and partners
• Previous experience executing Change Orders
• Ability to read and interpret utility plans and general contracts
• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications/Utilities experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
• Valid G drivers license with the ability to travel to various job sites
• Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
