Civil Superintendent
Under the direction of the General Superintendent, the Earthworks Superintendent will assist with the planning and schedule activities for the construction and/or repair of heavy civil engineering works including excavation, haul, fill, stockpiling, paving, drainage, utility and other associated works. The Earthworks Superintendent is responsible to support the overall Project requirements that work is safely completed, on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with the contract requirements. All work must be performed safely, efficiently and completed to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities

• You possess an in-depth knowledge of construction specifications, installation methodologies, and contract language.
• Ability to supervise a construction project, its workforce and manage all on-site construction activities safely and within budget.
• You have an expert understanding of the construction industry and standard business operating procedures.
• You have excellent leadership qualities and are an excellent communicator.
• You can examine and audit field conditions, identify gaps and ineffective processes to implement cost-saving measures.
• You collaborate with the Project Manager to implement project objectives including upholding the health and safety program.

Experience

• Civil earthworks experienced
• Superintendent or Forman: 3 years (preferred)
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit s policies, procedures, and software programs.
• Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
