Position Description:
We are seeking a Petrochemical and Refining Licensing Specialist to join the Technology Support of the Interface Department. The primary role is to lead the technology licensing and procurement strategies activities; provide technical support to multiple project teams; and develop project specific documents, e.g. invitations to bid and technology selection tools.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following experience and competencies:
Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; a MS is a plus.
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with a petrochemical or refining licensor. Experience should include time spent in developing licensing agreements and procurement strategies.
Additional preferred qualifications:
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills.
A demonstrated ability to interface effectively with internal engineering, R&D and technical service groups. Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
- Lead activities related to the technology licensing process and procurement
- Provide technical support for capital projects involving petrochemical units at various stages of execution (pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic and detailed engineering)
- Lead the strategic evaluation of licensing agreements
- Act as a professional mentor to developing specialists and engineers
- Actively participate in a knowledge sharing network
- Assess new and emerging crude to chemicals technologies
