ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Reporting Analyst develops insights into operational effectiveness and resource management efficiency. The primary focus is in understanding the line-of-business performance and opportunities, analyzing data and market trends and generating insights to improve sales and customer services.

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate the operations and sales processes to quantify the efficiencies and identify improvements
• Train, assist, coach, mentor users to upgrade reporting systems and identify efficiencies and software / technology to improve reporting and measurement process
• Develop insights into customer behaviour and to improve customer sales funnel
• Work with Data Analysts to define datasets
• Utilize systems and datasets to develop insights into our processes and results to identify operational effectiveness and resource management efficiency.
• Forecast expected demand and make recommendations on resource availability
• Identify, develop and implement systems (hardware and software) and processes to measure tasks and effectiveness.
• Identify, propose and facilitate business process improvements related to data and reporting
• Develop management dashboards to visualize results with tasks performed and performance measures (KPIs)
• Analyze Market trends
• Ensure systems support customer expectations to affect customer behaviour

REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology or Computer Science
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint and Excel
• Ability to translate data insights into business insights
• Familiarity with agile methodologies of solution design
• Analytical & problem solving skills
• Certification or experience in data and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, R or Python
• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources
• Experience working on marketing campaigns and analysis
• Strong communication (written & verbal) skills
• Experience with Customer Service in the travel and / or transportation industry is an asset
• Proficiency using Google Analytics & Website Use Analytics
• Previous experience in Business Process Analysis (BPA) preferred
