Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Business Analyst to their Treasury team for an initial 10-month contract. This role is hybrid, 2 days in office in downtown Toronto.


Responsibilities Include


  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with Accounts managers/Relationship managers, ensuring Global Cash Management (GCM) is informed of all large transactions in advance to facilitate efficient cash management.
  • Lead and drive projects aimed at enhancing existing processes or procedures in cash management, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze cash flow patterns, financial data, and market trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing cash management strategies and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with the CAD short-term funding desk to develop and implement effective CAD cash strategies, optimizing cash utilization and minimizing borrowing costs.
  • Manage and oversee the operations of the CAD cash position forecasts, CAD Settlement Balance management, intraday stress testing, CAD Cash Gap reports, and Collateral Management to ensure accurate and timely execution of financial transactions.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on cash management best practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.


Qualifications


  • Cash Management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word).
  • Power BI dashboards (Nice to Have)
  • Experience or understanding of Treasury.
  • 8+ years of experience in Banking (Data Analysis, Business Analyst, Treasury, Capital Markets).
  • Project Management experience (Nice to Have)
