Job Description
Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking a permanent part time Base Supervisor based in Lloydminster to support our Capacity Purchase Agreement with WestJet, operating as WestJet Link in the region. We are seeking a candidate who is looking to enjoy a family-oriented, dynamic and rewarding work environment. Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. Under the Pacific Coastal banner we fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities in the province of British Columbia and Alberta.


Base Supervisor is a functional leadership position responsible for providing supervision, direction, support and training to all Customer Service Agents at the Lloydminster base. The successful individual will be expected to role model behaviors that respect the corporate values, professionalism, diversity and service excellence to our internal and external customers.


Job Responsibilities


  • Build a strong, competent and cohesive team of employees that are motivated to support the Company's vision and uphold and reflect positively on the Company's values
  • Identify, address and support employee performance in a timely manner and engage in effective progressive discipline as necessary
  • Actively participate in Base Supervisor team meetings
  • Challenge the teams' capacity by establishing and achieving annual safety, health and operational goals and objectives
  • Ensure all ground operations are conducted in a structured, organized, efficient fashion, without sacrificing public safety, or the quality standards
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports within prescribed timelines
  • Provide leadership, training and performance management to all team members
  • Monitor and audit all areas of the base operations to ensure compliance with all published standards and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare work schedules, ensure adequate and efficient staffing
  • Approve timesheets and authorize overtime hours according to standards
  • Foster and maintain a culture that is respectful, supportive and engaging
  • Ensure adequate training, currency checks and daily communication support
  • Develop appropriate corrective action plans to resolve operational audit findings with the goal to improve the department's overall safety, increase operational effectiveness and reduce operational costs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Complete annual employee evaluations


Qualifications And Competencies


  • Experience working with Sabre is an asset
  • Minimum of two years' experience in supervisory or management role
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer service environment
  • Aviation/airline operations experience is a very strong asset


Abilities


  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Planning, forecasting, goal setting, coaching skills
  • Ability to motivate, engage and inspire team members
  • Computer Skills (Web, Excel, Word and Intelisys)
