Position: CNC Operator and Shop Foreman

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

As a CNC Operator and Shop Foreman, you will have a dual role that combines operating and programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery with leadership responsibilities as a Shop Foreman. Your responsibilities will include:

CNC Operator:

Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications

Read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings

Conduct quality inspections of finished products

Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues

Collaborate with the production team to optimize efficiency and productivity

Shop Foreman:

Oversee daily operations of the shop floor

Lead and supervise a team of CNC Operators and other shop personnel

Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards

Train and mentor new team members

Implement process improvements and identify areas for optimization

Serve as a point of contact for production-related issues

Requirements

To excel in this combined role, we are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role

Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines

Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools

Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues

Excellent communication and leadership abilities
