GP Custom Metals is a leader in custom Metal Fabrication and Installation. We are looking to hire a Junior / Intermediate level CNC Operator for our Machine Shop, located in Newmarket. In addition to providing machining services for our fabrication facility, our machine shop also serves as a vendor to clients in a wide range of other industries.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set-up and operate two 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Create programs using CAD provided
- Read and interpret drawings
- Troubleshoot and adjust programs and set ups to ensure efficiency and quality
- Machine components from a wide variety of raw materials
- some heavy lifting
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Perform require maintenance
The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and a creative, innovative thinker.
