Cnc Waterjet Operator Jobs

Technical college diploma or certification is preferred.

Minimum 2 years of CNC Operator experience is preferred.

Execute and close out maintenance work orders.

Perform equipment initial maintenance evaluation and schedule work.

Dispose of equipment and reconcile post-job resources.

Experience in the field of stone cutting, an asset;

Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills;

Contract with possibility of permanence;

Set up and operate CNC machines for the manufacture of diamond tools;

Be sure to monitor operations to determine if adjustments are necessary;

Stop the machines when problems arise;

Programme using Fanuc/Siemens as needed

Operate multi turning axis as required

Interpret engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts as needed

Work with various materials including exotic grade alloys

Background in multi axis turning centres

CNC Setter / Operator (Sliding Head)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Set-up and operate two 3-axis CNC milling machines

- Create programs using CAD provided

- Read and interpret drawings

- Troubleshoot and adjust programs and set ups to ensure efficiency and quality

- Machine components from a wide variety of raw materials

Five years minimum of CNC experience is required.

Operate CNC machines for projects involving but not limited to milling and tuning, programming, engineering, assembly, etc.

Complete and maintain inspection records.

Run breakdowns on the machine as per schedule.

Maintain equipment and trouble shoot machine as required.

Inspect, verify gauges, and approve raw material for use.

Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.

Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Knowledge of processes & practices of machining and familiarity with automated machinery.

Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting

Previous experience operating CNC equipment, able to make tool changes, small program changes, read blueprints, diagrams, etc.

Valid forklift license or experience – experience with long / extension forks

Proven ability to follow standards, rules, policies, work instructions, directions

Ability to operate hand held tools – saws, routers, measuring equipment – tape measures

Have a quality and detail focus

Experience with manual milling machines

Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading

Jetcam software knowledge for waterjet system an asset

Experience with ERP system (Syteline a plus) considered an asset

Program and set-up CNC machine for Primary parts production.

Utilize JetCam software from provided nests and ensure proper usage and execution of the Waterjet.

Fully skilled 5 years minimum experience CNC Operator

Work with managers and supervisors to implement the Company's policies and procedures

Full 5 Axis CNC knowledge is an asset

Create, load, and examine CNC programs

Set up tools, indicate and load materials onto CNC machine

Carry out machining of components

Experience in setting up a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill is an asset but not a requirement.

Part finishing through manual grinding, and burnishing equipment.

Load parts, operate controls, set offsets, perform edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.

3-5 year experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment

Lift and position work pieces, manually or with hoists/jib crane.

Communicates with lead hand for assignments and resolve machining or quality issues.

Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.

Report deviations and all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor.

Proficiency with basic computer skills

Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria Waterjet work as outlined in the Waterjet SOPs

Monitor and verify that rough cut machinery is operating correctly

Perform quality checks on finished pieces

Interpret engineering drawings and sketches to plan, set up, and operate waterjet machinery

Utilize overhead crane to relocate slabs
