The CNC Operator is responsible for creating quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes and milling machines and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams.
Essential Functions:

• Report deviations and all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor.
• Lift and position work pieces, manually or with hoists/jib crane.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Study and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Communicates with lead hand for assignments and resolve machining or quality issues.
• Work safely at all times and maintain a safe work area.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
• Load parts, operate controls, set offsets, perform edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Well organized, with attention to detail.
• 3-5 year experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision, self-motivated & results oriented.
• Strong commitment to quality work.
