Do you believe that everyone should have access to safe, high-quality care and that health is more than healthcare? If your answer is yes, we would like to invite you to join us toward a future that will lead to “Safer Care and A Healthier World.” Let’s follow a mission together, where we “empower and enable people around the world to continuously improve quality of care.”. During this journey, HSO lives by its values of trust, inclusion, collaboration, innovation, and learning - every single day!
Health Standards Organization (“HSO”) is searching for an Associate, Operational Excellence, to support operations within Canadian Accreditation.
If you’re right for this opportunity, you are ready to jump in! You thrive on beating deadlines and surpassing expectations. You have a winning attitude and love to learn from, and collaborate with, others. Having a full plate doesn’t intimidate but motivates you and you have a knack for triaging multiple priorities and juggling tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Your Responsibilities Include
  • Working in a fast-paced environment that requires agile, clear thinking for quick turnaround of accurate, high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrating attention to detail while gathering information, validating data, and documenting processes.
  • Summing it up. You can distinguish fact from fluff and condense the relevant content into a few key points pulling it all together to write concise reports, presentations, and process/procedure documentation.
  • Collaborating for results; You won’t be in this alone. The HSO team is our – and your – greatest asset. Our team has rich talent and deep expertise to strengthen you in your role.
  • Identifying and filling the gaps. We move fast – your ability to see a gap, flag it and work with others to fill it is crucial.
  • Creating a system that works for you and your team – you will help to organize and support your team members to increase efficiency.
  • Staying on top of emerging trends, deepening corporate knowledge, and strategizing corporate initiatives in a specific health services area.
  • Organizing projects with clear deliverables.
  • Contributing to process reviews related to CA operations.
  • Building authentic and enduring relationships with staff, partners, validators, and amplifiers.
  • Being a flexible team player. Contributing positively to the culture of our workplace by staying positive, engaged in the work you do, and energized by the difference you’re making.
You have a unique history. Does it include the education and experience listed below?
  • Three to four years of progressive and varied administrative experience.
  • People skills. This is key. You’ll be interacting daily with various teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • An eye for detail. You’ve heard this before, but we can’t stress it enough. You notice big and little mistakes and are comfortable reviewing the work of your team and accepting the thorough review of your own work.
  • University degree or college diploma in a specialized field.
  • A well-developed sense of accountability and taking ownership. We want to hear examples of times when you stepped up, took ownership, and ran with it, whether big or small, as a professional, a student, or as a volunteer.
  • A proven ability to work under pressure while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
You’ll stand out if you...
  • Have knowledge of the Plan, Do, Study, Act methodology.
  • Have experience with process improvement, including process mapping and documentation of procedures.
  • Have experience working with people via distance.
  • Are tech-savvy, with experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Are bilingual in French and English.
  • Are familiar with the health care environment.
  • Are enthusiastic and passionate! We have an ambitious mission, and it will be our collective energy that will get us there .
