Associate Director, Strategy

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will support the Director of Strategic Initiatives and partner with a broad variety of stakeholders to help develop, articulate and execute on RBC Investor Services’ strategy. You will work with a team to deliver analysis to support decision-making and financial planning in the business. You will play an active role in identifying, analyzing and addressing strategic opportunities for RBC Investor Services.

What will you do?

• Build strong stakeholder relationships in order to reach target outcomes
• Work across RBC Investor Services’ business lines to help define, articulate and execute on RBC Investor Services’ strategy and strategic initiatives
• Help lead annual and ad-hoc strategic planning processes, including creating presentations for the RBC Group Executive and RBC Board of Directors
• Support RBC Investor Services’ business lines through your expertise in strategic reviews and financial analysis
• Work with a team to support the Chief Operating Officer of RBC Investor Services on ad-hoc strategic requests

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience
• Undergraduate degree in business or commerce
• Strong knowledge of the financial services industry (nice-to-have: asset services industry)
• Experience overseeing and monitoring complex projects
• Ability to influence senior management with persuasive and thoughtful communication
