We are looking for Assemblers to join a large one of the world's largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors!
As an Assembler you will be responsible for assisting with the assembly and welding of steel components on freezers, freezer assemblies, and their components. If you want to build your mechanical skills and have the opportunity to progress with a stable career, see below for more details!

Position: Full-time Permanent
Role: Assembler
Location: Richmond BC
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift Time: Morning; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay rate: $25/hr
Public transit friendly!
Steel-toe boots are required
Must be legally permitted to work in BC

Responsibilities

• Able to weld using GTAW and GMAW processes on stainless steel and aluminum
• Prepare material for assembly, including cutting and preparation of raw materials
• Set up welding equipment to suit the requirements of the task
• Clean and grind welds
• Select optimal welding processes and parameters
• Assist in preparation for shipment
• Perform housekeeping duties and comply with housekeeping policies
• Plan and sequence welding to ensure minimum distortion and warping

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform basic maintenance on welding machine components
• Can provide valid work references
• Competent in using both GTAW and GMAW welding equipment
• Capable of operating overhead crane
• Knowledge of welding parameters and settings and their influence on the welding process
• Be able to weld in a variety of welding positions
• Legally permitted to work in BC, Canada
• Able to operate a variety of hand tools
