Metal Assembler Jobs

We are looking for Metal Assemblers to join a large one of the world's largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors!
As an Assembler you will be responsible for the assembly of steel components on freezers, freezer assemblies, and their components. If you have experience using the below tools, we want to hear from you!!

• Grinders
• Metal/aluminum cutting machines
• Tig & mig welders

What you need to know:
Position: Full-time Permanent
Role: Metal Assembler
Location: Richmond BC
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift Time: Morning; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay rate: $25/hr
Public transit friendly!
Steel-toe boots are required
Must be legally permitted to work in BC

Responsibilities

• Prepare material for assembly, including cutting and preparation of raw materials
• Set up welding equipment to suit the requirements of the task
• Ensure minimum distortion and warping during assembly/welding
• Assist in preparation for shipment
• Able to weld using TIG & MIG welders on stainless steel and aluminum
• Perform housekeeping duties as required to ensure a safe and tidy workspace
• Clean and grind welds for finishing

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Can provide valid work references
• Able to operate a variety of hand tools
• Be able to weld in a variety of welding positions
• Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices
• Perform basic maintenance on welding machine components
• Forklift Experience is a must including Clamp and Overhead crane (or willing to be trained)
• Knowledgeable and experienced in using both TIG & MIG welding equipment
• Legally permitted to work in BC, Canada
