The Role:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in downtown Montreal. As a Financial Analyst, you will work with the FP&A team on developing innovative forecasting techniques and assisting on long-term growth projects.

As our company continues to grow, you will leverage your experience of financial analysis and reporting to assist on monthly operations and projects. You will be responsible for providing reliable, timely, and accurate financial information to assist the Sr. Analyst, Director, and SVP Finance in strategic decision-making to help propel our business forward.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various reporting tools, such as dashboards, using data mining analytics
• Monitor actual results, and identify plausible reasons for variances to budget and forecast
• Responsible for creating reports and analysis to assist management in decision-making processes
• Collaborate with the Finance team and management to produce budgets and forecasts
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecast reports
• Assist with providing analysis to evaluate new business initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and decisions using data analytics

Qualifications:

• SQL knowledge is a plus
• You have 1+ years of experience in a similar function or role
• Ability to effectively summarize complex information
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite (World, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent team player, but also works well independently
• Degree in Business/Commerce, or other relevant degree
• Ability to multitask while being respectful of deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and pays attention to detail
