Job Description

IMPORTANT:

Full-Time with Seasonal Layoff - Specific Project, Effective until June 2025
Schedule Monday to Friday 10:30am - 6:30pm
JOB SUMMARY: u nder the general authority of the assistant director of student services and the direct supervision of the conseillère en services adaptés , the clerk is responsible for the organisation and invigilation of exams in the exam invigilation centre and for clerical duties for the access centre .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive exams from faculty, obtain appropriate instructions / signatures and ensure the security of the exams
  • Assist with data entry of information regarding student accommodation documentation
  • Communicate with faculty to arrange drop-off and pick up of exams
  • Ensure that exam invigilation and loaner laptops are maintained and updated as per ITS protocols
  • Assist with the English Exit Exam
  • Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned
  • Ensures the integrity of the examination process and ensures the security of exams
  • Receive students in the Exam Invigilation Centre
  • Assist with updating and maintaining standard operational procedures manual for the Exam Invigilation Centre
  • Refers students to appropriate services in the College
  • Respond to telephone, routine correspondence, and electronic mail of the Exam Invigilation Centre (Access Centre) and receive students and staff
  • Maintain record keeping and data collection
  • Prepare and update the College’s general list of students on the accommodations list
  • Inform students of their responsibility with respect to scheduling their exams
  • Communicate and coordinate within the Exam Invigilation Centre to ensure that accommodations are provided
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Secondary school diploma (DES) or a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority
Specific Requirements:
  • English advanced, both oral and written
  • Ability to deal efficiently and pleasantly with people
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic French oral, written and written comprehension
Testing may be required to demonstrate knowledge of:
  • English (advanced: oral and written)
  • French (basic oral, written and written comprehension)
  • Word (basic)
  • Excel (basic)
