We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Delta Office. Please note, this is not a hybrid or remote position.


Job Responsibilities


  • Entering charges/invoices, deposits, refunds, cancellations, and reversals;
  • Performing collection procedures including receipting and allocating of payments;
  • Sending out monthly arrears statements/letters;
  • Updating owner/tenant ledgers and information in the accounting software;
  • General administration tasks including but not limited to processing incoming/outgoing mail, data entry, and filing; and
  • Processing, verifying, and posting of payment portal (i.e. credit card) receipts
  • Ensuring timely follow-up on arrears communications;
  • Responding to owner, council, or manager queries in a timely manner;
  • Preparing and processing of monthly EFT files;
  • Ad-hoc tasks as maybe required.
  • Handling and organizing of cash, cheques, electronic payment receipts, and post-dated cheques;


Accountability and Decision-making


  • Demonstrates initiative and innovation in resolving complex matters;
  • Exercises considerable judgment in responding to customers;
  • Takes direction from the responsible Community Managers, Property Accountant, AR Team Lead, Accounting Supervisor, or Controller.
  • Accountable for the effective execution of the responsibilities;


Qualifications


  • High attention to detail while working with high volumes;
  • Accurate data entry and relentless attention to detail;
  • Highly organized with good time management skills;
  • Exceptional numeracy skills;
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Accounts Receivable; strata and/or rental experience is an asset but not required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven skills using Microsoft Office
