Our Optical Solutions business and Global Sales and Marketing team is looking for an Account Manager to join our team. This person will report directly to our Director of Sales and have responsibility of managing a larger, key customer in the telecommunications industry. This person will be the main point of contact for the Account Management that includes: high touch customer engagement and customer satisfaction, revenue growth, pipeline creation and execution, and S&OP support to sell optical products to a Tier 1 optical infrastructure equipment provider.

This person will work remotely with a customer in Ottawa, Canada.

What You Will Do

• Be the one point of contact for the customer to resolve to completion their requests or issues directly, or indirectly through the coordination with internal teams, to improve the overall customer experience.
• Understand the competitive landscape; gather business intelligence and report findings.
• Develop and maintain a customer account plan that aligns with customer and internal goals taking into considering the competitive landscape.
• Grow the assigned customer revenue to support the overall corporate global sales target.
• Execute and close on current pipeline opportunities and turn them into revenue.
• Manage the overall customer satisfaction and grow relationships across all levels of assigned accounts.
• Provide and maintain reliable forecasts to support operational success.
• Create new opportunity pipelines for existing and new products for future growth.
• Provide and maintain accurate reporting.
• Gather internal consensus from the necessary stakeholders to professionally respond to customer requests, RFQ’s and price negotiations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience working within fiber optic components, modules and/or optical systems technology
• Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Development or Product Management
• Experience serving customers in telecommunications or data communications industry
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical engineering or related field or equivalent knowledge/experience in the field, MBA desirable
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, CRM tools, etc.

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineer, Physics, Optical Engineering, Photonics or related technical discipline
