Title: Assembler I
Duration: 06 Months (Possibly Extension)
Location: Concord, ON L4K 5P8, Canada
Shift: 7AM – 3 PM (EST/EDT)
Pay rate - $20(CAD) per hour on T4 without any benefits
Summary:
The Electronic Assembler plays a key role in everyday operational requirements for the business. You will be required to work across functional teams within Production and Operations in support of our external and internal customer’s orders. In this position, you will assist with electronic assemblies and sub assemblies, work with electrical or electronic components such as modules and printed circuit boards. This role involves following repetitive production standards, requiring manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude, soldering and wiring experience is beneficial. This role will report to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Solder and clean prescribed components on PCB s.
- Solder and manually assemble various electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCB s) to drawing specifications.
- Surface mount technology (SMT) soldering, solder fine wires.
- Solder and manually assemble multi-wire data cables and coaxial RF cables.
- Read blueprints and follow instructions.
- Complete other tasks as necessary.
- Perform final testing of RF Cables.
- Visual inspection of PCB s boards prior to solder.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Complete device history records and daily production logs.
- Install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring and harnesses to sub assemblies and assemblies.
Job Requirements:
- Wiring experience
- Soldering experience
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions.
- Organization skills and great attention to detail
- Manual dexterity
- Hand-Eye co-ordination
Skills Needed:
- SMT experience
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- De-soldering
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Soldering
Working Conditions:
- Able to work in stand-up or sitting positions for longer periods
- Ability to lift loads up to 10 kg.
