Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering within an automotive assembly or related manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Practical experience in costing and quoting.

Experience with CAD (preferably AutoCAD).

Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines

Provides engineering support for process related continuous improvement activities related with installed equipment.

Undergraduate degree; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Minimum of two years related experience, particularly in a post-secondary environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated intercultural understanding are required.

Knowledge of University of Alberta policies and procedures is preferred.

Advises instructors, staff, and faculty members on undergraduate related issues, including grading and academic dishonesty.

Processes student academic record changes (eg. registration, grade changes, independent studies, etc).

- Prepare presentations to engineering and management teams.

Bachelor of Engineering/Engineering Science degree is a requirement (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)

Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, food/beverage or consumer packaging.

Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset.

Offer NDT expertise for investigation of parts.

5+ years of experience in a similar or direct discipline

Intermediate expertise in offering of NDT support

Intermediate user knowledge of MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Develop NDT inspection procedures for various aircraft, as well as design NDT calibration reference standards for in-service aircraft.

Provide primary technical expertise and leadership in resolving manufacturing issues in the Operations, Quality, Customer Support and Supply Chain departments.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills.

Working with other disciplines to move projects forward such as project managers, engineering groups, regulatory (permitting), vendors, and inspection (shop/field).

Training/mentorship for other engineers with less experience, including delegating work, discussing technical issues, and helping when required.

Accredited Engineering degree (Petroleum, Chemical, Process, Industrial or related).

Standard (5 days, 35 hours per week)

• Assist the production and maintenance supervisory group as required in the management of equipment down time.

• Effectively deal with contractors in job requirements in the issuing of work requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or relative experience

• Knowledge of the aluminum extrusion industry would be an asset

• Plan and co-ordinate capital projects and process improvements as assigned.
