Three (3) years of working experience in secretarial and programme assistance support are required.

Experience in organizations linked to the environment, international organizations, the UN and/or the CBD is desirable.

Experience on biodiversity mainstreaming, economics or business links is desirable.

- Support with social media needs (developing assets, sharing materials, liaising with comms);

High school diploma is required. A graduate degree in environment, economics or related areas is desirable.

Work experience in an academic or public library setting with a proven client and service- focused approach

Advance the Library's goals of information and digital literacies as core competencies;

Contribute to the Library’s commitment to decolonizing our practices through ongoing engagement initiatives related to local descriptive practice;

Actively engage in initiatives that support the decolonization, accessibility and inclusion of the campus community through Library programs and services;

Act as liaison librarian for assigned subject areas;

Connect and liaise with community partners to share expertise, promote the library or participate in projects.

Proven time management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures.

Minimum Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.

Experience in reporting on government or administrative projects, an asset.

Proven knowledge of existing programs and program providers to establish/re-establish working relationships is an asset.

Experience working with students/adult learners with disabilities and diverse backgrounds (Indigenous, Black, racialized, 2SLGTBQ+, etc.).   

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience 

Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and r elated equity legislation

Ability to build rapport, apply active listening skills, customize communication style and content while showing empathy, exercising tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity.  

Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders, developing strong partnerships, and working effectively on projects with multiple stakeholders  

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities. 

Provide administrative support for the PhilKids program, liaising with Manager, Education + Outreach and PhilKids Lead Coordinator

Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent experience

Coordinate and communicate all details for school clinics, small ensemble, and educational and outreach activities

Collect and track data of participants in Education and Outreach activities

Format and distribute materials for education and outreach programs

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and consistent with the administrative / support role

Leads and supports activities aimed at engaging the School’s alumni groups through digital, virtual, and in-person activities.

Demonstrated experience with developing and delivering education sessions and materials

Develop technical and transferable skills that can be applied in a wide range of careers.

Creates and updates program plans, educational materials and other resources to support program delivery

Recruits, trains, and coordinates student volunteer teams to support education and outreach events/activities, and ensures continuity of student-led initiatives

Supports integration of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) considerations in URI education and outreach activities/programs

Responds to inquiries about URI education and outreach activities

Strong technical abilities with social media marketing experience and ability to utilize different portals/software.

Excellent student service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.

Strong marketing and event planning/coordinating abilities.

Promote the office’s supports and services to students, faculty, staff and community partners.

Create, design and write promotional material and other communications to staff, students, community partners and other stakeholders.

Lead for all department external outreach activities including marketing, events, communication, strategy, and reporting.

Significant experience in teaching, training, public outreach, online help and/or event planning events is essential

Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities

Promotion of Reactome and communication of Reactome news through social media channels like Twitt er , LinkedIn, and Facebook

Creating and maintaining documentation and e-learning materials on our advanced tools and APIs, and their application in bioinformatic analysis

Direct support via email and tracker of user queries on using our APIs and advanced tools

Direct interaction with our development teams to fix bugs identified by users and find solutions to user problems
