London, ON (Home Based)


CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Coordinator, Outreach! Reporting to the Manager, Outreach and working in collaboration with other members across the country on the Come to Work Program delivery team, the Coordinator, Outreach will build the resources necessary to grow and expand the Come to Work program in Ontario and nationally to be relevant to all Canadians with sight loss seeking meaningful employment.


Your impact at CNIB


  • Keep abreast of best practices and new developments in programming for people who are blind, and proactively bring forward ideas on how to improve all aspects of the work we do, including seeking opportunities to improve employer and participant outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver workshops for the talent pool and networking events for the talent pool and employment partners.
  • Ensure regular updates of interactions, program campaigns, etc. are captured in Salesforce.
  • Lead the design, planning and execution of all outreach activities related to CNIB's Come to Work Program's employer outreach.
  • Work with talent pool members in the early stages to get them employment ready and in the later stages on job retention for their chosen industry. Focus on skills needed to be successful as shared by the employers who are looking to hire.
  • Regular follow ups with potential and current partner participants by phone, email and in person.
  • Engaging with businesses in the industries that the Talent Pool are actively seeking to work in.
  • Provide program support for mentorship programming – seeking new mentors and matching the talent pool with potential mentors.


Requirements


Who you are:


  • Experience in reporting on government or administrative projects, an asset.
  • Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature, as well as emotional and social stability when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss and other functional challenges.
  • Professional attitude, results oriented, self-directed, and flexible.
  • Fluency, written and oral, in French an asset.
  • Proven time management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures.
  • Proven knowledge of existing programs and program providers to establish/re-establish working relationships is an asset.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to travel independently within the region via public transit, car, or ride-share.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.


We want to hear from you if you have:


  • Proficiency/working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss is considered an asset.
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Minimum Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Six (6) months of Community/Partner/Stakeholder cultivation experience


Work Environment


  • Occasional travel (20%).
  • Agile office environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
