Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications and working closely with our communications specialist, HR and leadership team, the successful candidate will lead key projects and initiatives that bring our newly defined Ambition, Purpose and Values to life, lead the creation and development of engaging content across various channels and audiences, and plan and delivers employee events and conferences that make Enercare an even better place to work!


This individual will be a team player with exceptional interpersonal, communication and writing skills, project management experience and experience running events.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads company-wide employee recognition events and initiatives, including the annual Spirit Awards and Years of Service Celebrations
  • Leads and oversees the rollout and evolution of our new Community Outreach Program at the national and local levels, building and managing employee volunteerism, sponsorship and donations efforts.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics for continuous improvement.
  • Plays a key role in supporting the annual Kickoff Meeting, quarterly Town Halls, mid-year All-Hands and annual Leadership Conference
  • Contributes to the planning and development of communication strategies and tactics that effectively communicate the company strategy, particularly as it relates to our new company Ambition, Purpose, Values and Environmental, Social and Governance Commitments
  • Special assignments as required
  • Creates, develops, and edits content that informs and inspires employees, including but not limited to newsletters, videos, scripts, surveys, and digital signage
  • Leads and oversees the rollout, maintenance, and evolution of our new Intranet Platform (SharePoint OnPrem to SharePoint Online), including internal campaigns, story mining, content creation, editing and posting.
  • Work with various units to deliver high-quality internal communications materials, including special announcements and key messages.
  • Contributes to internal communications planning and execution
  • Key member of the Employee Committee
  • In conjunction with marketing, regularly contributes to the shared social media editorial calendar using sound judgment to identify, edit, write, and prepare internal news for external visibility.
  • Works closely with our Chief Operating Officer to develop and deliver quarterly video series


Qualifications:

  • Experience managing third-party vendors
  • Experience working in a deadline-sensitive environment
  • Event management experience; able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-orientated with excellent organization, project management and time management skills
  • College / University degree or diploma in Communications, English or Journalism or related discipline with 5 to 7 years of experience in communications
  • SharePoint Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
  • Strong writing, editing and presentation skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels
  • Social media content creation experience (LinkedIn)
