Assist with direct instruction to students using a variety of teaching and management strategies

Case management (Resource Teacher) for the senior students in the LAC program

Completion of a Bachelor of Education

1 year Full-Time contract as a Special Education Teacher

Prior teaching experience is an asset.

Developing, implementing and evaluation Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and positive behaviour support plans

The instructor will also have the support of our educational management and collaborate remotely with the team.

We are searching for several teachers with experience in video games for virtual classes.

You enjoy sharing knowledge with young individuals.

Although not required, prior experience in teaching/animation is a plus.

The instructor will use Minecraft Java Edition to teach children aged between 8 and 12.

The instructor will work part-time, between 2 and 12 hours per week.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant qualifications in Religious Education or a related subject.

Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education and core content areas required

Oversee the daily work and responsibilities of a Special Education Co-Teacher (para-professional) in the RISE classroom.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution

Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $16.39 for 0 years of experience and $22.54

Education: At least 48 college hours required, bachelor’s degree preferred

Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Assess students’ skills, abilities and learning requirements

Classroom management and resolve conflict

Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role

Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies

Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities

Extensive Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is considered an asset
