Senior Strategic Sourcing Lead Jobs

Knowledge of vendor management best practices, including contract management, vendor evaluation, and performance management

Manage vendor relationships, including identifying and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with vendor requirements and company policies

Develop and implement vendor management policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent vendor management practices across the organization

Prepare and present vendor management reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders as required

Minimum four (4) years professional experience in inventory management, logistics support, strategic sourcing/procurement, accounting principles & software applications utilized in procurement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration - Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Economics, Math, Engineering or related field.

Minimum two (2) years professional experience in financial analysis/planning functions or activities

Highly skilled in contractual negotiation, supplier selection and application of sourcing policies and procedures

Regularly interact with Senior Level Stakeholders to support all sourcing and supplier management concerns.

Execute responsibilities with regards to process improvements as directed by the Sourcing Category Manager.

Arrange as required pre and post-award meetings with suppliers and inspection to ensure a clear understanding of contractual responsibilities.

Continuously ensure effectiveness of purchasing channels, in alignment with strategies to support the Sourcing Category Manager.

Requires experience of inspection to specification, production planning and scheduling, QA, designing, and dealing with people on controversial matters.

Previous experience in Global IT procurement, specifically related to IT infrastructure and technology tower.

Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager, or similar role in a project-based environment

Manage the procurement process, from supplier selection to purchase order issuance, delivery, and payment

Track and report procurement metrics, such as supplier performance and cost savings, to the Project Manager and stakeholders

Recognized Professional Supply Chain Designation (CPP/SCMP or P.Log), Project management professional (PMP) certification and LEAN certification is an asset

Change management certification is an asset

Strong management, problem identification and resolution skills

Minimum three (3) years' experience clinical procurement or five (5) years of procurement experience is required

Experience with procurement process is required

Preferred 2-4 years experience in contract management and strategic sourcing (executing or leading)

Trained skills in third-party governance, stakeholder management, data interpretation and communication

Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

Responsible for the entire end-to-end renewal management of technology contracts with oversight from Strategic Sourcing Manager(s)

Competency in operating reporting and document management

A designation or enrollment in a Contract Management or Supply Chain Management program (such as IACCM, SCMA, CSCMP, ISM, APICS)

Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management experience in an academic research administration environment.

Proven ability in line management, leadership and working groups.

Experience in program development and/or managing contract research projects.

Experience in promoting academic and research expertise, technology and innovation outcomes.

Excellent people skills demonstrated by prior leadership positions, EDI initiatives, and service-oriented activities.

3+ years of progressive business experience in strategic sourcing and/or global supply chain management related to commercial print or digital communication

Work with business partners on a consultative basis to collect and finalize specific business requirements necessary to evaluate and select suppliers

Track, monitor, and manage sourcing and contracting agenda across the category including progress, risk, and procurement impact development and realization

Interface directly with business partners and vendor/contract managers

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop complex cost model and come up with actionable cost-optimization recommendations

Financial acumen and experience or experience working closely with Finance and Accounting

Partner with the Finance team to calculate overall project cost/savings

Manage updates to savings and other trackers

Support the Sourcing Manager in establishing a high functioning, best-in-class Deal Desk for driving impact and delivering savings

Experience working in a metrics-driven or data-driven environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills (able to create management tools such as modeling and scenario analysis, etc.);

- Ability to develop and implement category management strategies

- Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with Ariba and SAP an asset;

- Participate in change management in the plants during the implementation of new contracts or new suppliers
