Oversee and manage payroll and benefits operations and provide leadership and training to the team.

3+ years experience with benefit administration.

Serve as subject matter expert to resolve payroll and benefit-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Communicate benefits information to employees, address queries and provide guidance on enrollment processes.

Monitor benefits utilization and trends and provide recommendations for improvements and updates.

PCP or PLP Certification with the National Payroll Institute.

5+ years of senior management and leadership experience

Manager Of Payroll And Benefits (Regular Full-Time)

Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, planning, reporting and administration of employee benefits.

Perform and review all year-end procedures and reporting, including statutory reporting in accordance with provincial and federal requirements.

Implement and review required payroll system changes, earnings and deduction codes, and benefit related reconciliation reports.

•Launch Tool process has been completed, all Payroll info is uploaded

Expert knowledge of best practices in ITB/VP management and related Government of Canada policies;

Identify and qualify indirect transactions for presentation to senior management for investment;

Prepare ITB/VP reports for review by senior management or submittal to ISED/third parties;

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Davie’s ITB management processes;

Be the subject matter expert for Industrial Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy and Value Proposition (VP) for shipbuilding/ship repair programs;

Manage relationships with eligible parties to ensure that their ITB/VP obligations are achieved;

Minimum 5 years’ nonprofit accounting experience required, including a working knowledge of accounts payable systems.

Experience in general ledger, procurement, and payroll platforms is required; knowledge of MIP, Microix, Sage Intacct, and PN3 platforms a plus
