Senior Construction Scheduler Jobs

15 to 20 years construction experience with 10 years management experience

Advise management of developments that could affect project profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and interdepartmental or inter-divisional relations.

Implementation and Management of CB&I procedures and standards.

Develop a construction organizational plan commensurate with the requirements of the Project.

Visit sites for pending projects and evaluates site conditions and extraordinary requirements.

Manage scope of work by identifying change conditions or work outside of scope.

Requires a university degree in Engineering or Business Management or college diploma in Engineering Technology and additional training or education

Requires experience related to the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of transmission/distribution assets

Scheduling experience in transmission line and station projects or other linear project types is an asset

Practical experience using the scheduling tool Oracle Primavera P6 or OPC & MS project is an asset

Experience with SAP is an asset

Canadian experience in ICI or Residential High Rise Construction

At least 5-7 years experience in construction, with the majority of time spent working for a developer or contractor

Experience negotiating construction contracts at least $50M in value

Professional certifications related to project management or scheduling are desirable but not mandatory.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Project and Master Scheduler tools for complex project scheduling and resource management.

Familiarity with construction project management software and tools.

Proven experience as a Project Scheduler in the construction industry, with additional experience in a manufacturing facility considered a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project data and recommend effective solutions.

Understanding Earn Value Management (EVM) concept and experience in applying into the project schedule to drive KPIs.

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree / experience combination in construction and/or engineering and/or project management

Knowledge of business and commercial concepts and processes, including contracts, budgeting and project financial management, and cash flow

Minimum of 3 years of experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta or Cora PPM

Knowledge of cost estimating, tracking and control

Minimum 3 years of experience in resource loading the schedule.

Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for project planning and scheduling activities

Experience in performing Schedule Health Checks in compliance with the Project Agreement requirements and best practices.

Undertake forensic schedule analysis and provide reports to the project management team.

Undertake what-if schedule analysis and present the results to the project management team.

Manage schedule change notices and forecast project impact. Implement corrective action when performance trends deviate from baseline

Skilled in direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel (i.e. Project planners and planning coordinators.).

Have taken courses or certifications in project management or have PMP designation

Successful completion of courses in project management or PMP designation (Preferred)

5-10+ years experience in a similar role working on large ICI and Transit projects with over $100MM value

Review and analysis of contract documents to develop clear, realistic construction schedules, preliminary schedules, during the procurement phase

Be resident at the “Place of Work” (as required) and will work independently, under the general direction of the Project Manager.

Issuance of Payment Certifications, Site Instructions, Response to RFI, etc. (technical content may require to be provided/verified by others).

Depending on our role in the project, you will lead or assist the project manager to act as Payment Certifier;

10 - 15 years’ experience.

Demonstrated experience in construction of buildings and transit facilities.

Demonstrated experience in design, engineering and construction of projects with similar nature and magnitude.

In addition to the above, a PMP designation or robust project management experience is required.

Assist the Project Manager in planning the profitable execution of the Construction Administration stage of large and complex projects

Provide input as requested by Kasian’s Project Manager and/or production department on budgets, schedules, etc.

Participate in pre-bid conference with Project Manager and client

Coordinate with Project Manager on significant items such as changes to design and cost

Ensure professional responsibilities and obligations are met including compliance with codes and bylaw

Track actual work versus scheduled job for risk management analysis.

Complete forecasting and report this information to Project Management Team.

Support contract management department with delay and claim processes using P6 schedule and performing Time Impact Analysis.

A Minimum of 4 years experience as a Project Scheduler in highway/road construction projects.

Advanced ability in Primavera P6, including cost and revenue loading experience.

Experience in review and analysis of claims, time extensions & impact on costs.

Coordination with multiple design discipline requirements.

5+ years of relevant experience, with a professional engineering designation

Experience with large transit projects preferred

Experience with TBM tunnel and SEM construction an asset

Experience on site and working with contractors preferred

Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on time

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Estimating, Accounting or relevant functional discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

Monitor schedule performance data, develop complex data analysis, and issue schedule reports required by management and project procedures.

10 years related work experience

Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Expert knowledge of Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest Version) and MS Project.

Extensive experience using ProCore & PowerBI strongly preferred.
