Public Health Program Coordinator Jobs

Financial management responsibilities, including payment and reconciliation processes.

Clinical experience or detailed knowledge

General knowledge of Alberta Health and federal legislation, Health Information Act (HIA) and FOIP (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy)

Experience with SAS, CLASS, and/or suitable and comparable statistics and business intelligence software

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Demonstrated project management, planning and time management skills. Ability to work flexibly and with competing priorities.

Training in public health emergency management (incident management systems, incident command system, basic emergency management, exercise design)

Knowledge translation by retrieving, assessing and synthesizing complex research findings.

Demonstrated judgment, decision making, and problem solving skills

Demonstrated and strong group facilitation and process skills.

Demonstrated experience in evidence informed practice, conducting rapid evidence reviews and producing evidence briefs.

Demonstrated knowledge of information privacy issues including related and relevant legislation/statutes in information privacy, access and protection of personal information.

Demonstrated skill and proficiency in electronic communication technology.

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of information privacy goals, objectives, policies and procedures for the department.

Advises communication strategy for the department, and prepares communication material such as Department Newsletters.

Participates on assigned internal and external committees, as required.

Ability to analyze privacy best practices and to document them in policy/processes.

Works collaboratively with Aboriginal health program Managers and teams, community partners, and other FH program leadership in the coordination of programs.

Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety principles and strategies.

Demonstrated knowledge of performance outcome measurement tools and techniques and program evaluation.

Demonstrated knowledge of statistical design and quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and evaluation processes in a health care environment.

Coordinates and provides support activities by organizing workflow, determining priorities, resolving day-today problems and evaluating operating procedures.

Supports Aboriginal Health leadership in annual work planning, budget allocation and core activities to ensure portfolio objectives are met.

Experience In a Management Or Leadership Role Is Preferred.
