What are the key responsibilities?

Experience and knowledge of railroads, locomotives, troubleshooting, maintenance programs and mechanical requirements an asset

Manage inventory levels of components to ensure locomotives can be readily serviced and repaired.

Work with Stores to establish stock levels of critical items based on operational requirements and ensure availability.

Complete daily observation requirements and ensure supervisors complete their observation requirement.

Extensive experience using mechanical tools and devices

Strong knowledge of mechanics, electrical, diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Five (5) years paramedic field experience

Supervisory experience in either an acting or full-time role within a unionized environment

A valid Class "F" Drivers Licence as required under Provincial law and meet all requirements of the Ambulance Act and Regulations

Strong leadership capabilities and competencies that foster a collaborative working style to coach and lead a growing team

Maintain maximum productivity and produce quality standards

Monitor and direct maintenance for maximum equipment efficiency.

Previous experience in a management/supervisory of a unionized environment role an asset

Monitor compliance with commercial vehicle regulations and dotted line responsibilities to maintenance manager, if necessary

Ensure training requirements are up to date and offered as required to meet Lafarge standards

Knowledge of or experience with industrial and production-based facilities and logistics

Manages change through influence on front-line staff

Ensure adherence to Conuma’s environmental policy, work standards, management plans and regulatory obligations and requirements.

Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.

Implement daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans and objectives, in accordance with production plan requirements.

Stay abreast of all relevant legal and legislative requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in an open pit mining environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Contributes to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.

· Time and people management.

· Interface with vessels regarding Marine Transportation Security and loading requirements.

· Power engineering and control room experience are also major assets.

· Minimum two years of supervisory experience with the ability to provide leadership and direction to others.

· Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate, lead and build effective relationships.

Well established organizational and project management skills

Identifying competencies and establishing and developing training requirements for the operating crews

A minimum of five years progressive industrial experience

Strong and proven leadership, planning, budgeting and troubleshooting skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Outstanding team player and team building skills

Recent experience in a supervisory/managerial role including direct leadership of teams in a healthcare setting.

Significant Experience providing pre hospital medical care as a Paramedic. (PCP,ACP,CCP)

Experience developing policies, procedures, and protocols; and

Experience liaising with agencies to provide pre hospital medical care.

Current registration within Canada as a Paramedic. (PCP, ACP, CCP)

• A Professional Engineer with 10 years of directly related operations experience or alternatively a non-engineer

with 20 years of directly related operations experience

will include, but not be limited to:

Knowledge of instrumentation installations and Process Plant data management systems preferred.

Leading Lean and Transformation Management system activities within team or area and performing process improvement projects;

Optimizing the use of human resources (number, skills, and flexibility) and material resources;

Leading the team in strategic problem solving that manages risks and supports overall Process Plant productivity and delivering to plan.

Minimum 5 years leadership experience in mineral processing, crushing plant and/or similar industrial workplace.

Valid WSCC Supervisor Level II Certification, or ability to obtain such certificate.
