Power Electronics Hardware Validation Engineer Jobs

Assist in the creation and management of ILS requirements, including technical manuals and other supporting documentation

Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience

Advanced knowledge of project management tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent time management skills and is able to set and achieve goals and objectives

Project management of a wide variety of electrical design activities of varying scope and scale

Well organized, good time management and ability to work on several concurrent projects

Education: Electrical Engineering degree (Master’s or PhD considered an asset)

Experience: minimum 5 years’ experience in power electronics

Development of high power (1kW+) switching power systems and experience with 600VAC systems required

Desire to learn, drive to expand knowledge

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Use broad technical skills for the design and development activities of Flutter Care’s wearable technology

Experience with software design in C/C++ in a multi-threaded environment

Experience using EDA tools such as Altium and KiCad is a strong plus

Experience with communication protocols such as HTTP and MQTT

Experience using electrical equipment such as an oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, soldering iron, heat gun, etc

· Design, model and simulate power and control circuits, using PSIM, LTSpice and other EDA tools.

· Troubleshoot EMI/EMC and participate in external lab testing process.

· Preparing technical documentations (including BOMs and test procedures) as part of introducing products to manufacturing.

· Schematic entry using Altium Designer and familiar with PCB design.

· Familiar with 3D modeling (Solid Works is an advantage).

Application knowledge and system design experience of industrial motor/drive systems.

Working knowledge of failure modes and experience with troubleshooting subsystems and components of AC drives.

Experience with PWM techniques and knowledge of motor control algorithms.

Demonstrate excellent technical, oral and written communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge of electrical system design principles adhering to IEC/UL standards for industrial control panels.

Experience with power converter topologies for DC and AC motor drives – non-regenerative and regenerative rectifiers, inverters, switch-mode power supplies.

Power, performance, or thermal management experience would be helpful

Developing knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy

Prior years of working experiences in the semiconductor industry

Strong knowledge in developing and debugging system hardware and software or firmware for embedded systems

Prior experience with FPGA emulation for VLSI systems

Strong knowledge in C, Python, and any scripting languages

Minimum 5 years of experience in RF design;

Rich experience designing RF components, especially power amplifiers, synthesizers and related circuitry;

Good knowledge of EM theory;

Design Experience for RF circuits for frequencies above 10GHz.

Hands-on experience with schematic capture & PCB layout;

Hands-on experience building, integrating and troubleshooting circuits;

Power, performance, or thermal management experience would be helpful

Developing knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy

• 5-10+ years of progressive experience in electronic designs and electronic board designs;

Experience in project management (as it relates to commissioning/qualification deliverables)

Degree in MBA and certifications in Project Management and/or Six Sigma is an asset

Experience/knowledge in validation design/approach and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience in commissioning and qualification of equipment (computerized/non-computerized) and facilities

Advise on test requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria as per project deliverables

Ensure that the methodology used in qualification testing will thoroughly test and challenge applicable system/facility

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in power electronics design

Experience in the automotive industry

Experience in automotive functional safety according to ISO 26262

Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving ability

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce clear documentation for both colleagues and customer
