Completion of Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Public Health, Data Science or equivalent combination of education and experience;

Working knowledge of health care funding methodologies (HBAM and QBP) and health care reporting requirements (e.g. OHRS and MIS guidelines)

Commit to, and actively work to remain knowledgeable and up-to-date in the assigned field;

Three (3) or more years of experience in a healthcare environment including experience preparing analyses of operational, and quality measures;

Experience applying various statistical or data science techniques such as: Descriptive, Forecasting, Predictive Modeling, and Regression;

Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills ;

Demonstrated experience of project management, facilitation, report writing, and organization skills

5 years of epidemiology and supervisory experience

Leads the development and maintenance of Clinical Education and PPO InsideNet pages, TeamSites, and discussion boards.

Renews and updates affiliation agreements with educational institutions

Analyzes data collected on each Specialty Education student related to identification of areas for improvement and for reporting required by operations.

Analyzes processes and identifies opportunities to find efficiencies related to Clinical Education and Professional Practice Office.

Designs and develops work plans, in conjunction with leaders in Clinical Education and the Professional Practice Office.

Leads the development of summary reports.

High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

Drive planning and implementation of new initiatives related to chronic disease prevention and management

Experience with or knowledge of new indicator development is an asset

Oversee development and dissemination of knowledge products (e.g., reports, measurement dashboards, etc.)

Maintain up-to-date knowledge in epidemiology and population health analysis, to support the priorities of the Population Health team

Develops and presents materials using excellent written, verbal and graphical communications skills

Strong knowledge of population and public health in BC including public health core functions.

Knowledge of research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative methods.

Contributes to and provides input on the implementation of effective processes by assessing project risks and identifying risk mitigation strategies.

Seeks out and writes research and funding grants for identified population and public health projects, as applicable.

Ability to review and interpret applicable reports.

Ability to critically analyze and synthesize complex evidence base into summary reports.
