Network Cabling Specialist Jobs

Liaise with Matrox engineering and technical support departments to improve the IP video product offerings based on real world requirements;

Familiarity with modern data center environments, private cloud architectures, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewall management, Citrix ADC, and VPN deployment.

Possess 5 to 7 years of senior-level technical support, system administration, or equivalent client-facing experience in a fast-paced, technically demanding setting.

Strong communication abilities to effectively address customer issues and champion their success.

Robust networking background, encompassing skills in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP), DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPV4, and IPV6.

• Your communication skills in both English and French (written and speaking) is of the highest quality.

• A diploma or degree in psychology, social work or a health/education-related discipline.

• Experience with recruitment, training and onboarding.

Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine cabling requirements and develop effective installation plans.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cabling Technician or similar role.

Proficient knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Installing and terminating network cables, including copper and fiber optic cables, based on industry standards and specifications.

Experience with mobile device management tools

Implement, manage, and upkeep server hardware, software, and infrastructure amenities following established industry standards

At least 5 years of experience in system and network administration

Significant experience working with Palo Alto

Active Active cluster configuration experience

Will oversee the migration from Static routing to Dynamic routing in our environment

Creation of OSPF and BGP zones

Removal of existing Static routes were feasible and replace with dynamic protocols

Analyze existing firewall and packet forwarding rules for possible conflicts

Some of the skill/knowledge sets that will be considered assets are:

Monitor, assess and act upon security advisories and vulnerabilities to mitigate CBN exposure to risk.

Network Security: Intrusion Detection Prevention technologies, IPSec/SSL, NAC, Radius/Tacacs, Packet Inspection, ITSG-22, ITSG-38, CISSP certification;

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills;

Ability to earn NSE4 certification within 6 months of starting the position.

Knowledge/experience in site deployment and commissioning of networks

Similarly, creates new concepts or modifies existing concepts to fulfil customer requirements

Prepares system, subsystem, and interface requirement specifications by analyzing, decomposing modelling and refining customer requirements and typical train control domain requirements.

Creates and documents detailed network designs implementing the requirements.

8 years of network industry work experience

Post-secondary education in Networking technologies, Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent)

In depth knowledge of general network troubleshooting and monitoring practices

In depth level knowledge of Firewalls

Research, design, and deploy new solutions to keep network service capabilities leading edge

Ensure critical network infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements industry security standards

Advanced knowledge on regulatory requirements, process management, and operational process improvement

Solid knowledge of computer room hardware management best practices

Ensure strict compliance of security and change management directives

Strong understanding of risk management and site contingency

Mentor and support colleagues in their capabilities

Approximately 10+ years’ experience in large-scale IT operations environments

Knowledge of various NW management tools used in enterprise networks

Good understanding of ITIL process and hands-on incident, Change and Problem management

Working and Troubleshooting knowledge of SonicWall Firewalls

Cloud Technology working knowledge of Azure & AWS

Masters’/Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience

Experience in configuring and maintaining Cisco Meraki switching and wireless technologies
