As a Cabling Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all cabling activities, including cable layouts, labeling, and test results.
- Testing and certifying cabling systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborating with project teams and clients to ensure successful project execution and timely completion.
- Troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues, including identifying and rectifying faults or deficiencies.
- Installing and terminating network cables, including copper and fiber optic cables, based on industry standards and specifications.
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine cabling requirements and develop effective installation plans.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for cabling installation and termination.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cabling Technician or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficient knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with testing and certification tools, such as cable testers and OTDRs.
