Strong debottlenecking and troubleshooting skills

2-4+ years of Process Engineering experience

Proficiency in Process Engineering design

Experience with Heat and mass balance software (HSC, Matlab, Aspen) is considered an asset.

Liaisons with Management, Environment, Safety, Finance and other departments.

Assist area management in planning, coordinating and supervising production activities

Data entry for production entries in SAP (plant and production reports)

Work closely with managers and foremen on pit and plant optimization

Coordinate with sales, project managers, quality control personnel, and plant production on project details, scheduling, and problem resolution

Works closely with Operations Manager, Land Manager, Area Managers, Equipment Manager, Mining Engineer and Foremen

Knowledge and experience would be considered an asset within:

Assist contractors with product installation coordination and provide follow up to ensure owners comply with maintenance and inspection requirements

Work with Project Coordinators to manage each project by contract specifications, ensuring our contractual commitments are met

Coordinating with project managers, draftsman, quality control personnel, plant production and erection workers on project details, scheduling, and problem resolution

Contract law knowledge (bonds, contract document preparation)

On-site construction experience would be considered an asset

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringwith experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Educational buildings.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to problem solve and make timely and thought out decisions.

Preparation of Mechanical Drawings and Reports.

Prepare heat gain/heat loss calculations when required.

Prepare calculations to size ductwork, hydronic piping, natural gas piping, plumbing & drainage system and incorporate sizing into Mechanical documents.

Prior experience in pipeline or facility integrity or project management field

Provide support to senior and intermediate project managers through the definition/implementation/closeout cycles of project management.

Learn and implement technical and project management processes to ensure quality and consistency in the execution of projects.

Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.

A minimum of 1 year of industry experience is preferred

Prior experience in field operations

Industrial process improvements, layouts and equipment integration

Fluid/slurry pumping and piping designs

Solid and bulk material handling, conveying, crushing, dust collection, etc.

General mechanical machine design and platework

Fuel storage and distribution – Liquid and Gaseous Fuels such as Diesel or Propane

Development/input to Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) development

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

The creation and management of all related documentation, drawings, calculations, client reports, and internal reports.

Strong understanding of scope, time, risk, and quality management

Manage workflow and control costs to ensure profitability.

3 to 5 years of engineering design/field experience.

Prior experience in estimating & construction is required.

Lead and work with project delivery and carry out project management, contract administration and field reviews for projects under construction

4+ years professional experience with HVAC & Plumbing systems (fire suppression experience an asset)

Detailed working knowledge of the Building Code and the National Building Code of Canada

Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates

Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations

Perform other duties as needed

EIT with ability to obtain P.Eng. within 12 months.

0-2 years experience as an NDT Engineer.

Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills

2‐4 years of working experience from graduation, with experience in sectors such as mining, O&G, or renewables.

Beginner to Intermediate skills with drafting tools such as AutoCAD or CAE tools such as Compress, Caesar II etc. are desirable.

Experience with multiple phases of projects including preliminary and detailed design, tendering, construction supervision and commissioning is an asset.

Assisting in the ongoing development of TWD internal systems to improve our quality and efficiency of delivering effective projects to clients.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Registration, or eligibility for registration, as an Engineer in Training with APEGA is required
