The opportunity
Our Integrity and Growth Project Maintenance Capital (GPMC) Project Execution team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business.
We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic Engineer-in-Training, to provide support to an experienced group of project managers who are managing a diverse portfolio of Integrity and GPMC projects associated with TC Energy’s Liquids Business Unit.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior project managers to assist with execution of complex integrity/GPMC projects, and upon gaining experience, may be assigned to develop/execute projects with increasing complexity.
What You’ll Do
  • Work in close collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Liquids Engineering teams, Canadian and US Liquids Field Operations, Project Controls, Supply Chain, and external contractors
  • Other tasks as required.
  • Utilize business acumen to evaluate and assess various options from execution/fieldwork and economic perspective and articulate a recommended path forward from multiple options.
  • Learn and implement technical and project management processes to ensure quality and consistency in the execution of projects.
  • Understand and implement RFI and MOC processes for project scope, budget, and scheduling changes to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Support the development of project cost estimates.
  • Assist team leadership with preparations of formal reporting on project status.
  • Provide support to senior and intermediate project managers through the definition/implementation/closeout cycles of project management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in an Engineering discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year of industry experience is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in field operations
  • Prior experience in pipeline or facility integrity or project management field
This position requires candidates to:
  • Travel to other company locations in Canada and the US for site visits, training, and meetings (up to 20% of time). Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
