Profit and loss responsibility for site (comprehension of pricing models)

Directs and assists site teams and controller in analyzing strategic and tactical processes and related costs

Liaises with client to acquire detailed understanding of their short and longer term service needs

Provides technical and process advise and gauge client’s satisfaction levels

Ensures compliance with Health and Safety procedures and practices.

Review of site level business plans to support the attainment of corporate objectives and budget

Skilled in vendor management and negotiations

Proficient in project management, request for proposals, vendor evaluations and process improvement

Maintain positive customer delivery experience by ensuring service level agreement KPIs are achieved.

Manage and maintain databases for all logistics-related information, metrics and analytics.

At least three years of direct experience in Freight/Transportation/3PL Warehousing

At least two years of direct experience leading, coaching and managing teams

Minimum five (5+) years of experience in similar logistics/ administration role, with at least 2 years of management experience

Experience with logistics and distribution management (3PL) duties on a national scale

Post-secondary education preferred in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain

Effective communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to coordinate projects across Canada

While not required, Italian, French, or other language skills are considered a strong asset

Proficiency with Retail/ Warehouse Systems and Office programs, i.e. SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Experience in transportation, distribution, and 3PL management in a complex, multi-site, growth oriented manufacturing or distribution organization.

Lead sourcing strategy & management of external carriers and 3PL’s in supporting growth plans.

Transportation Management – purchasing strategy, execution & management of relationships with carriers.

Management of 3PL and physical management of inventory/materials.

At least 5 years’ experience in a people manager role.

Advanced systems aptitude (TMS/WMS) and excellent computer skills, working knowledge of SAP preferred.

·At least 5 years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on inventory and shipping.

·Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.

·Manage and maintain inventory accuracy by implementing and overseeing inventory management systems and processes.

·Analyze inventory levels and develop strategies to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts.

·Manage logistics budgets and report on logistics performance to senior management.

·Supervise and manage logistics team including time management and hiring process.

Thorough knowledge of established logistics and material management principals, systems, regulations, and contractual terms.

Good written communications capabilities and analytical skills.

Accuracy and currency of logistics and material management information.

Manage activities for the movement of materials to off-shore customer sites.

Establish and manage internal and external communications with various stakeholders as required.

Ensure compliance to the program, procedures, and system requirements.

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Lead the financial management and operational performance for the 3PL and outbound freight.

Manage the Company’s relationship with our third-party logistics providers

Manage the import process, including maintaining the relationship with the Canadian Retail Shippers’ Association (CRSA).

5-7 years of Supply Chain experience within a multi-unit retail environment is an asset

A university degree in Business Administration or Commerce or equivalent experience

Experience with Logistics/Warehousing at a remote mine site would be a strong asset.

Extensive knowledge of detailed cycle time studies on materials, shipping and transportation and its impact on resource requirements and cost.

Good communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while working with several groups.

11-15 years of experience in Logistics/Warehousing within the mining industry.
