Machine Shop Line Coordinator Jobs

Proven knowledge of high-speed machinery, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and experience in calibrating production machinery

Secondary school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education, preferred

Minimum one (1) year of experience as a machine operator; produce industry, preferred

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, and HACCP

Computer skills and mechanical aptitude required

Responsible for set up and operation of packaging machinery; retooling changes in packaging and products

Utilize ERP system for inventory tracking and management, and procurement through purchase order creation

Forklift certification or willingness to become certified, must have forklift driving experience

Manage parts inventory and organization

Manage logistics and coordinate shipments

Manage the supply chain and inventory

Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred

Effective time management skills. Able to balance many smaller tasks in a day

Purchasing, logistics, warehousing experience in related field

Database / ERP software experience

Manufacturing experience, especially related to resource planning

Other computer skills – Programming, database design, advanced excel, graphics, etc…

Experience with scheduling systems / software

- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Experience in the construction industry is an asset

- Proper handling and storage of materials and equipment

- Monitor and optimize warehouse space utilization and layout

- Ensure warehouse equipment is in good working condition and perform regular maintenance

- Uphold warehouse safety policies and procedures

Covering job duties within department (vacations and leaves)

Be experienced with using Contract Administration Management software and maintain an updated database throughout the duration of the project.

Training and developing the team on contract management. Carry out talent review and follow up their development.

Use of Contract Administration Management System such as Unifier, ASite, CEMAR, etc…

Encourage the Station Manager and construction team to maintain records and daily reports.

Working with the project team to manage project activities to deliver the works on time, to budget and the specified quality.

Have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Contract Coordinator working within the construction industry.

Assist Service Manager with the employee review and development process

Well-developed problem solving, analysis and option generating skills

Journeyman technician certification, John Deere Certification is an asset

Direct daily shop functions to maximize throughput while emphasizing work quality and employee safety

Assign work to match technician capability with complexity of the work order

Facilitates and enhances team efforts on a professional level and shares specialized knowledge, sources, experience, concepts and skills.

Ability to provide solutions to routine problems utilizing excellent analytical, creativity, and problem solving skills.

Consults with manager on issues that are more complex or may require upper level approval.

Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Experience with consumer products and technology for blind and partially sighted individuals is an asset.

Able to train and manage volunteers.

Time management and organizational skills.

Maintain, update, and manage calendars for upper for management, meetings, and any future events.

Update Kronos (time & attendance) exceptions for ATS and Management group, as well as assist with YYZ union payroll.

Create vacation schedules for select managers and supervisors.

A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a related field is required.

Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of PanaPro and DGS software is an asset, as is experience operating the Panasonic pick-and-place machine.

Two years experience with surface mount machines.

Strong Printed Circuit Board assembly skills (SMT and PTH).

Knowledge of color codes, electronic component identification and IPC-A-610-G is strongly preferred.

Perform SMT operations from simple to difficult on printed circuit board.

Setup and operate EKRA and Panasonic Solder Paste Printers.

Communicating work requirements to the shop manager, shop staff, as well as Engineering production and QC staff

Quality Control certifications an asset (ASNT NDT Level 2 or eq)

Previous experience in slurry pipe spool assembly an asset

Assessing and developing work scope on various fabrication projects

Creating and maintaining Gantt Charts based on scope

Knowledge of equipment and fleet management systems is considered an asset.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

WHMIS, confined space entry, working at heights, traffic control and first aid certifications are considered an asset.

Experience in environmental monitoring field is considered an asset.

Organize all equipment and shop supplies.

Provide support to the Field Services Supervisor.
