Position Summary:
The Shop Coordinator will be primarily responsible for overseeing the parts inventory, project assemblies, logistics, and shipping/receiving functions of the business. This role is crucial to maintaining the flow of materials and information necessary to meet our customer demands. Experience with shop or warehouse coordinating, parts inventory management and distribution is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize ERP system for inventory tracking and management, and procurement through purchase order creation
- Shop and warehouse organization
- Organize project components and assemblies
- Manage logistics and coordinate shipments
- Manage parts inventory and organization
- Manage the supply chain and inventory
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, inventory receipts, packing slip generation
- Answer phones, communicate with customers and suppliers, and follow up on orders
- Tagging and organizing assemblies
- Oversee parts purchasing and procurement
- Drive a forklift and load/unload trucks
Skills & Qualifications:
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified, must have forklift driving experience
- Must have Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Excellent communication and phone skills
- Knowledge of mechanical parts, particular to industrial plants is an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be eligible to work in BC (Canada)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
Work Schedule:
- Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Location: Surrey, BC
