MUST HAVE - Minimum 2 years experience in a public accounting firm in the accounting/tax role.

Experience with cloud-based accounting software, such as Xero, Quickbooks Online,Dext, Hubdoc and Tax software such as iFirm, Taxprep or Profile.

Working knowledge of Canadian taxation rules.

· Identify process improvement opportunities, consult with management on prioritization and drive projects to completion.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field. Related work experience considered in lieu of education.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Preparing corporate client financial statements (compilations) and tax returns.

Bookkeeping from client supplied records.

3+ years of experience in public accounting

Prepare corporate year-end files from planning to completion

Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns

Communicate with team members and clients to better improve operational policies.

Bilingual - the candidate can read and speak in French at a working level.

A CPA designation is not required but is appreciated

Great communication, time management and organization skills

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience gained in an accounting firm

Advanced computer knowledge (Caseware, Taxprep are an asset)

Customer service skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team

Conducting audits to ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements

Holds a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

3+ years of accounting experience.

Proficient at managing responsibilities & deadlines with limited supervision.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for stakeholders.

Prepare variance reports (actual versus budget).
