Intermediate Application Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Must have strong planning, organizational and time management skills.

Assist with work scopes and packages both technically and commercially ensuring they meet project contractual requirements, including subcontractor interfacing.

2-5 years of Project Engineering experience is required.

Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on engineering packages done by others;

Approve, Stamp and Sign the associated PC&T designs.

Provide support for the preparation of estimates and proposals for the PCM&T component of bids prepared by High Voltage department;

Make recommendations for the purchasing of major equipment and fixed assets for the discipline;

Maintain courteous and professional relations between the PCM&T staff and other business units;

Effective customer support and problem resolution with respect to the associated project, product, process, and quality system;

Experience with requirements management (an asset).

Conduct technical assessments of sales offers.

Lead discussions with customers, original equipment manufacturers, and bodybuilders to understand their specific requirements.

Define system functions and requirements for the integration of our product into specific vehicles.

Manage project schedule and collaborate with supply chain and operations for production planning.

Excellent knowledge of the interactions and constraints between engineering domains.

Good organization and program management skills.

3 or more years of experience in ASIC/IC design and/or telecommunications systems design.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a knack for solving challenging problems.

Experience collaborating with customers supporting optical communications products or systems.

Provide technical guidance, educate and partner with our customers to ensure successful application of Acacia products.

Provide rapid level 1 and level 2 technical support for customer Engineering lab and deployed system field issues.

• Minimum 5- 8 years' experience performing Application/Manufacturing Engineering/program management within the automotive industry.

• Perform project portfolio management, analysis, and executive reporting.

• PMP Certification is an asset

• Experience as a customer contact.

Application Engineer – (Permanent Position)

• Engaging directly with OEM engineers to get the necessary VAVE project approvals.

Ongoing development and management of quoting database

Ongoing management of sales funnel and associated reporting

Review and analyze engineering specifications and customer requirements

Work closely with sales and internal technical team to come up with great solutions that meet customer requirements

At least 5+ years of experience in automation or a related field

Strong technical skills in automation and electrical engineering

Commercial/project budgetary management (supported by extended Project Sponsor/Project Assurance team)

Client/stakeholder management and business development including contribution to strategic growth/recruiting

Certification as a P.Eng. (PEO)

Minimum 7 years of experience in Road/Transportation design (serving as Lead or PM)

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and staff in a team environment

Excellent oral and written English communication skills
