Infection Control Associate Jobs

Working knowledge of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Accreditation Standards or commitment to pursue education in this respect within two years.

Knowledge of the key roles and responsibilities of IP&C.

Previous work experience in the field of IP&C preferred.

To oversee the financial and human resource management aspects of the IPAC function within the home.

To assume responsibilities of the Executive Director and or other managers as required in their absence.

To maintain required education/certifications/credentials in accordance with the applicable regulations.

IPAC education and experience in:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a health care setting preferred

Provide financial support through banking reconciliation, invoice coding, petty cash management, chargeback investigations

Manage Customer’s Own Goods, and other No Inventory Value/No Charge tracking

2-3 years of previous work experience in a similar environment; retail preferred

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

A proven track record of strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication

Ensure inbound customer calls are answered following company standards

Previous experience working in an inventory experience

Chemistry knowledge is an asset

FileMaker experience is an asset

Capable of working in a safe manner, following all health and safety policies

Print labels according to First in First out (FIFO) taking into account those items that are Dangerous Goods

Completes reprint of labels as necessary

Collect data from various sources, completing analysis and publishing reports for Management

Liaise with Technicians and Operations Managers regarding work schedules

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Minimum one (1) year of work experience in a customer service environment is an asset

Coordinate and implement scheduling changes

Understand the needs of the business and varying workload levels, and schedule accordingly

Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience preferred

Supervisory and training experience highly desirable

Minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience required. Experience includes working in a hospital or health-related environment

Excellent communication skills, interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff

Excellent prioritizing and organizational skills

Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program

Medical terminology is an asset

Proficiency in typing accuracy and speed is essential

Assists the IPC Program Manager, Clinical Operations by attending panel interviews, and provides recommendations on the selection of new staff.

Performs other related duties as assigned by IPC Program Manager, Clinical Operations.

Demonstrated knowledge of epidemiological principles, statistics, medical/clinical microbiology, and infectious diseases, patient care practices and application of continuous quality improvement.
