B.SC in Food Science or equivalent combination of academic and professional experience.

Must have a moderate to high level of computer skills, including data analysis and report writing of recommendations for corrective actions.

Maintains the quality and food safety documentation up to date at plant level, including product specifications and formulas.

Plan and execute the tests and controls mandated through our Quality System.

Provide support to the plant team on continuous improvement projects, following up on corrective actions and customer requests.

Prepare and continue maintaining Key Performance Indicator trend reports.

Manages own work plans for the completion of audits within a determined timeframe, including schedule and workload

Communicates effectively with clients, and account manager

Bachelor's degree in Science with at least 2 years experience in food safety, restaurant or grocery operations

Excellent verbal and written communication, analysis and problem-solving skills

Prior food safety audit experience

Principle Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Full Time Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager

·Maintain customer databases to ensure compliance with specifications and certifications (i.e., Azzule, Loblaw Vendor Portal, The Hub).

·HACCP certification and SQF Practitioner are required, Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) would be an asset.

·Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, GFSI Schemes, Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA).

·Leadership skills for managing and mentoring employees

·Possess strong computer skills including fluency in Microsoft Office

Management of certifications of (non) fruit suppliers/service providers.

Organic Certification:Manage audit process with Ecocert; work with their approvals team on new packaging and labelling.

Create and manage supplier SOP’s

Lead Equifruit’s expertise on FSVP requirements.Work with growers to generate required food safety documents and plans.Coordinate translation of these documents.

Fairtrade:manage audits by Flocert; monitor and manage supply chain transparency on FairtradeConnect platform.

Manage Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) labelling.

Prepare reports and summaries for management and regulatory agencies

Prior experience working in a quality control or food safety position, specifically in the food and beverage industry is required.

Prior experience in food safety auditing or regulatory compliance is an asset

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices, such as HACCP andGMPs

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and training skills

· Strong time management skills with an ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities

· Participate in prerequisite monitoring and reassessment inspections as per Amir specific requirement including validations.

Manages 3rd party pest control and chemical vendors that provide support to restaurants

Minimum of eight (8) years food industry QA experience in a manufacturing or retail sector, or equivalent experience

Experience with multiple commodities such as poultry and produce considered an asset

Experience in managing quality systems (supplier approval, traceability/recall, HACCP, consumer complaints, audit)

There may be the requirement to complete out of state training at the start of your employment.

The role is paying$75,000 - $95,000 per annumaccording to your experience.

You must be able to travel extensively throughout Canada and hold a full and valid driving licence.

Fluency in English and French is essential.

• Strong working knowledge of food safety considerations while working adjacent to food production lines.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Teams

• Requires knowledge of current national and local building codes and regulations.

BE/Btech- Mech engg/ Process engg/CSA Engineering

Must be into FMCG or Food or beverage or helath care or into Pharma domain

• OSHA and Construction Safety.

Proven experience as a safety professional in project management, construction, or industrial environments.

Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning, design, and execution phases.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Proficiency in using safety management software, incident reporting systems, and other relevant tools.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant local and federal regulations.

Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and developing preventive measures.

Minimum 8 to 10 years of working experience in the food industry related to food safety and quality program management.

Experienced in writing, development and implementation of food safety program

Experienced in writing SOPs and HACCP Program

Experienced in hazard identification, risk assessment and determination of controls

Experienced in the training material development for HACCP programs

Experienced in employee training in HACCP programs

Have skillset and experience that relate to the following role:

Escalate critical issues to higher management.

Ensure communication (updates) provided on progress of engineering priorities and issues for alignment and awareness to senior management etc.

Education / experience in the nuclear field.

Collaborating with the managers in other disciplines, such as physics, thermal-hydraulics and mechanical to support safety related studies.

Foster a good working relationship with staffs, and other managers in the company.

Experience in Human Resources Management with strong investigation skills, including Workplace Violence is a requirement.

Actively participate in management decisions regarding Ministry of Labour Orders, visits and critical injury investigations and reporting.

Experience managing a remote team.

Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety.

Experience implementing evidence-based programs designed to provide metrics and measures to evaluate successes and highlight areas requiring mitigation strategies.

Previous experience consulting and advising Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC) is required.

Lead all aspects of a successful HACCP program implementation, including change management, training, and support.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

Deliver training and education programs to varying audience levels

Build safety awareness and advance the organization’s safety culture through information campaigns, training and education.

At least 2 years experience working with HACCP in a food manufacturing environment.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to explain HACCP concepts in simple words.

Work with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food
