Job Description

 

Food Safety Specialist

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in employee training in HACCP programs
  • HACCP training and/or certification
  • Experienced in the training material development for HACCP programs
  • Fluent in speaking, writing and listening English.
  • Must have valid driving licence.
  • Experienced in writing SOPs and HACCP Program
  • Well verse in use of Microsoft Office
  • Experienced in hazard identification, risk assessment and determination of controls
  • Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology/chemistry OR food science related degree
  • Send your resume and cover letter with list of two references and salary expectations. 
  • Experienced in writing, development and implementation of food safety program
  • Experienced in working various food industry experience such as Meat, dairy, seafood, juice, bakery, ready to eat meal and ingredient manufacturing etc.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills, along with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy
  • Understanding of Canadian and US food safety regulations, factory or distribution audit process and building HACCP Plans
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of working experience in the food industry related to food safety and quality program management.
