Finance Client Operations Director Jobs in Manitoba

Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with finance and accounting systems and matters, internal control, financial modeling & budgeting, asset management.

Identify, report risk issues where relevant; Support the initiatives of risk mitigation / management

10+ years’ experience in finance analysis/budgeting/forecasting

SAP experience and/or SOX requirement is an asset.

Take lead as a business owner in the development and implementation of related systems for finance & accounting practices

Lead the finance, operations and compliance functions of a growing independent portfolio management firm

Experience at an independent portfolio management firm or in the asset management industry would be a strong asset

Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills

5-7 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years working in a finance or accounting capacity

Experience working with a small, dynamic team and a willingness to roll up your sleeves

Experience working with modern, cloud-based digital systems, SaaS, and fully digitized processes

-Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills

-Maintain and process a portfolio of client billing and manage the full client finance workflow

-Solid finance experience with the ability to relate to procedures and processes

-Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel a must, experience in Advantage a plus

-Ensure all client contracts are up to date and adhered to with client billing and reporting requirements.

-Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and demonstrable accounting ability

Broad experience with complex management reporting structures, internal reporting requirements, and the development of financial policy and processes.

Provide leadership to the CBC Finance, Business & Rights and Strategic planning teams.

Be proactive and provide hands-on leadership skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls (specific SOX experience is considered as an asset);

Minimum of 8 years of prior work experience, ideally in financial management consulting and/or corporate finance role

Experience in change management and business process mapping in support or in conjunction with a major software implementation is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Business preferred or relevant professional experience

Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, training development, internal intellectual property development, and management of internal practice processes

Demonstrated experience in translating customer business needs into dynamic solutions provide best in class value for our clients

Lead client engagements, serving as project lead and functional expert for our clients

Knowledge and experience with Asana or other project management software is an asset.

Ensure all senior management is up to date on senior account activity.

Account and Program Management & Execution

Lead account teams e.g., work allocation and delegation, determining roles and responsibilities, coaching, and supporting talent development.

Offer solutions to improve relations when/if client satisfaction levels are not high.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent, preference given to those with Masters degrees

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements

Implement financial activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, payroll, group benefits, financial planning, and reporting

Work with the CEO to regularly report to the Board Finance & Audit Committee

Ensure the organization’s electronic medical record meets care purposes and manage vendor relations
