Being able to meet safety requirements to attend site visits

Experience as a design lead is an asset

Provide discipline input in the project management documentation (Design Basis Memorandum, Project Execution Plan, Project Engineering Plan, VDDR, etc.)

Walk-down field installations and provide feedback to construction management

Support Facility Engineers in the Management of Change (MOC) process – help generate Electrical scope, review and monitor design and execution

P. Eng, PL(Eng) or P.Tech (Alberta and/or BC). Tradesperson with relevant education and experience may be considered

Review Vendor or Contractor selection, quotations, drawings, and specifications for technical adequacy and conformance with project requirements

Relevant experience in front end project development required

Facilitates the necessary engineering information needed by Project Manager to submit regulatory applications.

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

7-10 years of Engineering experience in a related field.

Hybrid Model: Mon, Tue, and Thu at the office / Wed and Fri at home.

Confirms cable and conduit/cable tray schedules are complete and accurate.

Confirms cable schedules are using cable types consistently to avoid unnecessary variations and checks for code and specification compliance.

7 to 10 years demonstrated experience as an Electrical Designer on industrial projects.

Experience in using AutoCAD is required.

Knowledge of ETAP, CADWorx & Plant 3D and Microstation would be an asset.

Producing electrical single lines, three lines, schematics, wiring, layouts, etc. in accordance with established guidelines and client specs using AutoCAD.

Preparing and assisting in the release of drawings and documentation for projects.

Experience with electrical design utilizing Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD tools.

Solid written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organization skills to handle multiple projects and tasks.

From 5 to 7 years of professional experience, especially in power system (Protection and Control, Apparatus)

Knowledge of electrical design standards (CSA, IEEE, ANSI/IEC)

Experience in electrical studies (grounding, protection, load flow, harmonics, arc flash)

Asset: Working knowledge of electrical transient analysis (switching, TRV, etc.)

·Technical school certification with relevant field experience
