Submit monthly reports to Management on case files, wellness plan progress, and initiatives.

Obtain and maintain current CPR, Infant CPR, and First Aid Certification.

Manage caseload of clients and their families. Caseload will fluctuate (as needed).

2 years of community-based work experience.

Strong skills in client record documentation and experience with client care information systems and Microsoft Office Suite;

Three (3) years recent, related experience working with children or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Broad knowledge of psychotherapeutic and counselling skills.

Broad knowledge of psychoeducation principles and methods.

Participate in committees, community initiatives, team meetings, continuing education and engages in on going team planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Comprehensive knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of behavioural, social emotional and mental health/psychiatric problems in children and youth.

Broad knowledge of child developmental theory.

Assist with data management and file maintenance both electronically and physically

Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services and other correspondence.

2 years of related experience in administration working in social services or with a community agency

Excellent verbal skills to liaise with a number of contacts including potentially hostile clients

Ability to manage multiple priorities and requests

Create a positive welcoming environment by greeting and assisting visitors, clients, staff, or other parties.

Excellent organizational, project management and inter-personal skills including strong oral and written communication and presentation abilities

Strong organizational skills including time management, work prioritization and project management

Knowledge of child development and demonstrated skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.

Coordinate requirements for court hearings including preparing evidentiary materials, reviewing case information with lawyers, and appearing as a witness if required.

Participate in public communication and education activities.

Extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Aboriginal Peoples including First Nation, Métis, and Inuit.

Knowledge of Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Abuse Protocols, Risk Assessment Model and OnLAC.
