Bachelor's degree in administration, supply chain, operations management or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

Identify issues related to the quality and management of the inventory and propose action plans to the manager;

Monitor the productivity of floor clerks, dispatchers, pallet sorters, distributors and team leaders under his charge;

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position;

Good knowledge of the Office suite of applications, particularly Excel;

Assign team members according to the priorities and operational needs of the shift;

Responsible for leadership tasks as delegated by the store manager

Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers

Train, coach, reward and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience

Lead and model selling and customer experience standards

Act as the manager on duty when scheduled to support customer service, work with vendors, or address maintenance issues

Proven experience delivering sales results

Minimum five years experience working in the operation and/or maintenance of facilities;

Minimum three years experience supervising twenty-five plus employees in a maintenance or custodial environment;

Technical certificate in a building operations/maintenance discipline from a recognized Community College, or equivalent experience;

Experience working in a unionized environment;

Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a heavy industry environment with outdoor setting

Must have good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written;

Experience running and operating excavators, loaders, forklift and/or skid-steer an asset, but not necessary;

Demonstrated coaching and an empowering style of management

3-5 years acute care clinical experience; oncology &/or ambulatory experience preferred

Recent relevant supervisory or leadership experience in health care

Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Post secondary education (Business/ Operations management, Supply Chain management or related field) is preferred

Effective interpretation and facilitation of local collective agreement to foster relationship between management and the union

Implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance

Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities
