Minimum of 5+ Years in Mid to High-Rise Residential Full Cycle Canadian Experience

Compensation will be comensurate with a candidate's level of experience, but the following is a rough guideline -

Plan, schedule and coordinate work in accordance with the construction schedule, design documents and contract documents.

Thoroughly review and ensure total compliance of work performed on site with all design documents/drawings, specifications, contract documents, policies and reports.

Prepare and submit detailed and professional Requests for Information (RFI's) to the consultants as required.

Have a post secondary education in engineering, architectural, or construction managements

Ensure legal, regulatory and compliance requirements are considered for projects including but, not limited to Ministry of Labour, WSIB and Tarion.

Update and maintain construction Schedule; Discuss any issues with site superintendent and project manager that may impact schedule.

3+ years experience in construction as an Assistant Site Superintendent in high-rise residential projects.

Have all necessary training/certifications (Working at heights, First Aid, WHMIS, and Basics of Supervision)

Thorough knowledge of applicable Parts in OBC and ability to converse fluently with Inspection officers and municipalities

Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.

Initiate decisions related to hiring and performance management of team members, complete performance reviews.

Understanding of basic management approaches such as prioritizing work, equipment utilization, team development and coaching.

Experience leading a range of educational priorities

Successful leadership experience in the public school system, preferably at both the school and district levels

Solid understanding of public education governance

Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Engineering

Manage RFI submittals and Change Orders

Manage HSE onboarding and compliance

Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICI construction projects

Minimum 2 years' experience on local projects

Experience working on projects valued up to $5M +

Develop and manage trade, client, and consultant relationships

Maintain familiarity with Health & Safety responsibilities and duties;

Obtain labor requirements from Site Superintendent and coordinate to sign on laborers when required;

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of the construction field

Ability to meet deadlines, to manage time effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment
