Accounts Receivable Collections Jobs

Ensure compliance with credit limits and management of outstanding orders;

Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk

Financial reporting and regular updates about the customer accounts to management.

1+ year of experience in accounts receivables and collections.

Responsible for moderate volume collections calls.

Resolving short payments and discrepancies.

Identifying areas of performance improvement in receivables.

Build rapport and relationship with customers for due accounts.

Informing Controller and VP of Property Management of status of overdue accounts

Issuing of default notices to tenants as directed by VP of Property Management

Generate and review monthly A/R reports with Controller, VP of Property Management, Leasing VP’s , CFO, and VP of Operations

Education, Experience, and Key Competencies

Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Minimum 3 years of experience in account receivables, preferably in commercial real estate

Effective time management and organizational skills

People management activities, including but not limited to: hiring, coaching, performance management, development, corrective action and termination

Post-Secondary Education or related experience

Manage scheduling of team to ensure proper coverage

Other duties as assigned by manager

Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar supervisory related role

At least 5 years + of experience in management

Management, training, and development of team members

Collaborate and manage new projects relating to the accounts receivable management department

Improve, if necessary, the processes in place for the management of accounts receivable

Support, motivate, develop, and manage the performance of the accounts receivable team to achieve goals

Manage day-to-day operations, including cash request, collection processes, refunds, AR comp

2+ years minimum experience in Accounts Receivable and Billings

Previous experience in a Not for Profit environment

Good Excel skills - Formulas and VLOOKUPs

Identify high-risk accounts and notify management

North American Credit/Collections/Accounts Receivable Experience in manufacturing (minimum one to 2 years)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant North American accounting experience

Advanced Excel skills required, proficient in the Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and phone)

Track and monitor outstanding invoices and past due accounts

Manage of team of finance clerks and provide guidance for day-to-day activities

Strong project management skills, coordinating all facets of financial service delivery

Ensure billing accuracy and timeliness, ensuring month-end requirements are met

Experience with Meditech Billings Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger required

Demonstrated ability to manage teams or groups of colleagues

5+ years of Financial and/or Accounting experience required

Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:

An accounting designation, preferably a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA).

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:

A minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience.

Experience developing, implementing and monitoring accounting policies, procedures, processes, controls, and performance measures/standards, specific to accounting operations.

Experience interpreting and implementing complex legislation, CPA Canada handbook recommendations and guidelines.

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and associated financial concepts, principles and practices.

3-5 years experience working in a high-volume Accounts Receivable environment (combination of education and experience will be considered)

College Certificate program in Finance or Business

Experience with multi-company organizations and inter-company transactions an asset

Experience with multi-currency environment an asset

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); proficiency in Excel in particular

Epicor software experience would be considered an asset

Compliance with quality and safety management requirements

Ensuring customer billing requirements are met

Manage AR by training, coaching, and communicating job expectations.

Preparing and posting cash posting journals

Taking care for customer queries and follow-ups

Uploading invoices into customer portal as required

Support Property Managers in timely rent collection and postings

1+ years of related administrative experience

Knowledge of best practice related to residential leasing

Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Landlord Tenant Board would be an asset

Experience with Yardi would be an asset
